Who processes your data

What we use and why

Account: email and password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider), so you can sign in to the app and the website.

Profile: rider name and, if you want, bike and city. Members of your crews and rides can see it.

Crews, rides and routes you create or join, with their waypoints. A route is visible only to you unless you share it with your crew or by link.

Live location: only during a live ride and only if you tap “Share my location”. It is sent to that ride's participants, also with the screen off, and stops when you pause, leave the live view or the ride ends. We keep your last position in the ride and a simplified track that only you can see and delete.

Navigation: your position is used on the phone to guide you. To calculate a route we send its waypoints to the routing server.

Motion sensors: the accelerometer and gyroscope are used on the phone itself for lean angle and possible-crash detection. Those readings never leave the phone.

Safety alerts: if there is a possible-crash alert or an SOS about you during a ride, that ride's group receives your position and, while the alert is open, your emergency contact (if you added one to your profile). We also keep the quick signals you send to the group (stop, fuel, hazard, regroup).

Legal basis

Performing the service you ask for when you create the account (account, crews, rides, routes).

Your consent to share your location in each ride and for the emergency contact; you can withdraw it at any time by pausing or removing it.

Protecting vital interests when the group is alerted to a possible crash.

Who it is shared with

The participants of your crews and rides, as described above. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

Providers processing data on our behalf: Supabase (database and accounts, servers in the European Union, Frankfurt); the FOSSGIS routing server (OpenStreetMap, Germany) receives the waypoints of the routes you calculate; OpenFreeMap serves the maps and sees your IP address like any website. If you open a route in Google Maps, Google's policy applies.

How long

While you keep the account. You can delete your routes and your track of each ride at any time. Deleting the account removes your profile, your routes, the crews you created, the rides you organised and your tracks.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, object to or restrict the use of your data and ask for portability by writing to info@apicons.es. You can delete your account in the app (Profile) or on the website (Delete account).

If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Age

FRIEBIKER is meant for adults. It is not directed at children under 14.
