Altitude profile186–677 m

The route leaves Onda and takes the CV-20, which follows the Mijares valley upstream through Fanzara and the riverside villages to Montanejos. From there it continues to Puebla de Arenoso, by the Arenós reservoir, with a final stretch on the CV-194. It is a one-way ride that links with the Serra d'Espadà or can be extended further into inland Castelló.

The ride crosses from the Plana Baixa into the Alto Mijares through the municipalities of Onda, Fanzara, Espadilla, Toga, Torrechiva, Cirat, Arañuel, Montanejos and Puebla de Arenoso. The road follows the river almost the whole way, between gorges, rock walls and a few tunnels, and Montanejos, with its river bathing area, is the natural stop. The layout is one of fast, linked bends, more flowing than in the nearby ranges.

It is about 54 km and a little over an hour without stops, with some 225 bends and just one hairpin. Altitude ranges from about 185 m to about 680 m. The good surface tempts you to go fast, but there are village crossings, blind bends and tunnels where you should slow down. In summer Montanejos draws a lot of bathers and traffic increases; in the gorge sections there may be rocks on the road.
