The route starts and finishes in Priego de Córdoba. The A-339 takes you to Carcabuey, with its castle above the village, and on to Cabra among limestone sierras and a sea of olive trees.
From Cabra the loop turns towards Doña Mencía and Zuheros, tucked under the rock, and continues via Luque before returning to Priego on quieter provincial roads. It crosses the municipalities of Priego de Córdoba, Carcabuey, Cabra, Doña Mencía, Zuheros and Luque, around the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park.
It is about 77 km and around two and three-quarter hours without stops, with some 160 bends and one hairpin. Altitude ranges from about 450 m to 800 m. It links many different roads: have the route loaded in the navigator, as there are several junctions.
