The loop starts and ends in Falset. It climbs the T-740 to Porrera, continues on the TP-7402 towards Cornudella de Montsant and takes the C-242 along the foot of the range to Ulldemolins.
From Ulldemolins the route circles the Montsant to the north and west, through Juncosa in Les Garrigues, and drops through Margalef, La Bisbal de Montsant and Cabacés on local roads (T-702, T-710 and T-713). It returns to Falset through La Vilella Baixa and Gratallops, among the Priorat's terraced vineyards and always in sight of the cliffs of the Serra de Montsant natural park.
It is about 93 km and around two and a half hours without stops, with more than 500 bends and nine hairpins. Altitude ranges from about 165 m to almost 785 m. The local roads are narrow in places, with blind bends, and at harvest time there may be tractors and mud on the surface. There are few services along the way.
