The route leaves Caudiel in the Alto Palancia and heads into the hills on the CV-203 and CV-205, passing Higueras and Pavías. It continues on local roads (CV-20, CV-202, CV-2012) to Villamalur and Ayódar, and drops down to the Mijares valley on the CV-223, CV-2013 and CV-194 to Fanzara.
The ride crosses the Alto Palancia, Alto Mijares and Plana Baixa through the municipalities of Caudiel, Higueras, Pavías, Villamalur, Ayódar, Sueras, Tales, Onda and Fanzara. This is the northern edge of the Serra d'Espadà, with cork oaks, pine woods, ravines and small villages clinging to the slopes. What makes it special is the sheer number of bends: it is one of the twistiest routes in Castellón.
It is about 63 km and a little over two hours without stops, with around 350 bends and ten hairpins. Altitude ranges from about 190 m to about 900 m. The roads are narrow, with blind bends and sometimes gravel or stones: ride slowly and leave room when meeting other vehicles. There are few services in the hills.
