The route leaves Castelldefels and takes the C-31 along the coast, past Garraf, to Sitges. At the start and finish it uses short stretches of the C-245 and C-246 to get in and out of the towns.
The ride links the Baix Llobregat with the Garraf through the municipalities of Castelldefels, Sitges and Sant Pere de Ribes. The road is squeezed between the Garraf massif, a natural park, and the sea, with limestone cliffs and small coves below. What makes it special is having it so close to Barcelona: a road full of bends with the Mediterranean always alongside.
It is about 28 km and around an hour without stops, including the town sections, with about a hundred bends and no hairpins. Altitude ranges from sea level to about 155 m. At weekends there is heavy traffic, motorcycles and cyclists: only overtake with clear visibility and plenty of room. The road is closely watched, with frequent speed checks in the area.
