The route leaves El Saler, south of València, and follows the CV-500 along the coast through El Perellonet to Cullera. The final stretch also uses the CV-502 and CV-5040 to reach the cape. It is a short, straightforward ride, more about cruising near the city than chasing bends.
The ride crosses the municipalities of València, Sueca and Cullera, between the València area and the Ribera Baixa, within the setting of the Parque Natural de l'Albufera. On one side lie the Devesa, with its pine woods and dunes, and the sea; on the other, the lagoon and the rice fields. The landscape is completely flat and open, with the hill at Cullera as a landmark at the end.
It is about 29 km and around 45 minutes without stops, at sea level: the road barely rises a few metres and has hardly any bends. The CV-500 is very popular with cyclists, so give them plenty of room. There are roundabouts and turn-offs to beaches and housing estates, and traffic increases in summer. Crosswinds can be strong on the open stretches and there may be sand on the road.
