The route leaves Vilafranca and takes the CV-125 to Castellfort. From there it follows the CV-124 and CV-126 to Portell de Morella and then drops down to Cinctorres, where it ends. It links up with the Els Ports loop from Morella.
The whole ride is in Els Ports, through the municipalities of Vilafranca, Castellfort, Portell de Morella and Cinctorres. This is the highest part of the district: mesas, pastures, dry-stone walls and farmhouses, with small villages and very few people. What makes it special is riding almost entirely above 1,000 m, with continuous bends and wide horizons.
It is about 50 km and a little over an hour and a half without stops, with around 250 bends and four hairpins. Altitude ranges from about 840 m to almost 1,300 m. The area is cold and windy, often with fog; even in summer it is worth taking an extra layer. Watch for livestock on the road.
